Hello Experts,

     I have couple of questions on Mass Create/Upload for Material.

1. How to Upload classification data with the Bones Information of Material which has been already created/uploaded in the system?

2. Is it possible to do Duplicate Check during the Mass Upload in both of the cases while Bones Information Upload & Nomenclature Data Upload?

Note: Make certain I am request Indistinguishable Check during Mass Upload, not once the Information will be create/upload in the system.

Please help me to get the resolution.

Initial load of multiple assignment of Vendors to BP data into MDG

Hi,

  We have a scenario where in our ECC system, we take multiple Suppliers created for the same supplier for some specific reasons. Nosotros are installing MDG and we need to do an upload of Suppliers into the MDG system. Nosotros programme to utilise BP concept to maintain the general data, accost data etc and link all the ERP Vendors to this BP. Since MDG ECC does non back up the multiple assignment of Suppliers to 1 BP, we cannot upload this setup using standard methods. Tin can you please propose a way to upload the data for BP, Vendors and multiple assignments into MDG. I gauge creating BPs and Vendors would exist straight forrard using standard IDOC import, but how exercise i load the multiple assignments i.e the link table between BP and Vendors? Is there a standard manner?

UI refresh when changing data in cross-derivation BADi

We have the following scenario:

Nosotros created a Z-Entity for a material. Using the standard insert/delete options for this entity works fine and creates the new entities for this material in the data model and shows them in a table in the UIBB.

Then nosotros enhanced the UIBB with 2 extra buttons. Depending on which push button is pressed, an entity should be created/copied from another textile. This implementation is done in the cantankerous-entity derivation BADi.

We enhanced method /PLMU/IF_FRW_G_ACTIONS~PROCESS_ACTION_EVENT in order to recognize which push button is pressed.

And then we implemented the cross-entity derivation BADi, which gets triggered and changes the data model and creates the entry nosotros need in the model. This works fine and the new entity is available in the model information.

Our problem with this arroyo is, that the UI isn't refreshed when i of these buttons is pressed and the new entry does not announced in the entity's tabular array.

If we change a textile's standard field (e.g. cloth blazon) afterwards, another roundtrip is triggered and the UI is refreshed including the update of our entity table.

We have already tried to raise a roundtrip event when the push button is pressed and as well have tried to change a field manually using the convenience API with no luck then far.

Does somebody know how we can trigger a complete roundtrip or something that likewise updates the UI component?

SAP Screen Personas compatibility with MDG-Grand

Does anyone know if SAP Screen Personas is compatible with MDG?  I know you can run Personas within NWBC.  However, I am wondering if Personas is compatible with MDG or applications built using floorplan manager.

I am very familiar with MDG functionality and functional configuration (UI Configuration Manager and BRF+ Validation and Derivation tools).  All the same, it gets confusing when you start talking near the various flavors of NWBC and what technologies actually work together.  I have besides played quite a bit with Personas.  And now I am existence asked by our business organisation if they are compatible with each other.

I believe the use case coming from our business is the need to move or combine fields betwixt various UIBBs to simplify the interface.  It does not brand sense to me that you would use Personas to hide or testify fields because that tin can already exist accomplished with MDG UI configuration (without introducing another technology such as Personas).  Only despite our best effort to hibernate certain fields for MDG Requestors, perform validations, and default values, etc., our MDG users (material requestors) nonetheless find the UI cumbersome.  Peculiarly when one or more required fields are missing a value and they have to hunt dorsum through and so many UIBBs to find the particular field in error.

Despite whether or not information technology really makes sense to innovate Personas into the MDG surroundings, simply curious if information technology is even possible.

BP relationships and Customer contact person

Hi All,

Nosotros are trying to maintain Customer contact persons using BP relationship entity in MDG 7.0 organization. As per my understanding to create a Customer contact person using CVI settings, we demand to create a BP of blazon "Person" in BP Relationship entity. This contact BP is created in BP Group which is marked as "Internal Standard Grouping".

One time the Customer BP is activated, it creates the contact in KNVK table along with the Client. The Client Contact Id is generated using some internal number range and this number is different from BP ID created in relationship entity. Where tin can I find the Customer Contact Internal number range and can I have a control over numbering?

Even when I create a contact manually using VAP1 tcode, Id is generated using some internal number range and I am non able to locate it.

Basically the business requirement is that the Customer Contact Id and its respective BP Id should be same. Nosotros have complete command over number ranges of BP Groups and Client account groups. Fifty-fifty we can have same ids for BP and Customer. Can we do something similar for having aforementioned Ids for Customer Contact and its BP?

Please bank check screenshot below. Here, for the purchase organization I have also added Additional Purchase System data for Plant. But I am unable to assign Constitute on a Partner Function because columns are disabled.

I am new Master Information Governance concept and we are implementing Chief Data governance for Finance. As part of our requirement, we accept to add a custom field to data model and brand information technology part of the data replication as well. I was able to add the custom field to the data model by refering the SAP provided documents.

How to gear up MDG to search materials by classification characteristics?

I know that MDG has functionality to search materials by classification characteristics.

I fix all required settings according to guidance section "Fix Search" at

My Enterprise Search (embedded) works fine, I found materials by attributes and via free course search.

The report ESH_TEST_SEARCH also returns valid results.

Merely on the Fabric Search folio I don' see the Classification criteria pane.

NOTICE: During material creation I see classification section and I am able to seek classes, characteristics and assign them to a material tape.

I accept rummaged all SCN and help.sap.com but have non found whatsoever guide how to set this search criteria and make them visible (only how to make them invisible )

QUESTION: Is classification criteria pane visible from the "box" or I must practise some secret customization to display information technology?

Possibly it requires some additional settings at TREX side?

I discovered in SAP democloud system that there is a MDG_CLF_MATERIAL model (near MDG_MATERIAL) in standard software component MDG_APPL. I guess this is the standard search template like MDG_MATERIAL.

Unfortunately I haven't got the MDG_CLF_MATERIAL model in my system though nosotros run terminal service pack MDG 7.0 SP3 (MDG_FND 748 sp-level 03, MDG_APPL 618 sp-level 03)

Could you help me with ideas how to solve this problem?

SWIFT Key Field for BP data model

Hello Experts,

Nosotros accept a SWIFT cardinal field in the Banking company section for the BP data model which is read simply field from the MDG perspective but from XK02 transaction it is editable. The UI properties tin can exist contolled from "CL_BS_BP_GUIBB_BANK_ACCOUNT" class but we demand to push button the information that is entered in the screen to the bankend table BNKA. we are using the supplier type UI.

Information replication to ECC issue in MDG

Hello All,

We have just refreshed our quality system from production . After the refresh we are facing issue in the information replication to ECC . When we checked we found the issue with the connectors. So we followed few steps

And after in se38 we run the study ESH_ADM_INDEX_ALL_SC and as per the pace we deleted all search connectors . Now we are not getting the componenet and any connector which we tin add and procecced .

SAP MDG-South WS54300005 effect

Hi Experts,

We are using Workflow template WS54300005 to create Vendor  --initially issue is at second level of rejection - it was not going back to requestor or first level of approver, loop is iterating until it gets approved.

Now it is behaving in different mode, Am non getting either "Corroborate" or "reject" selection for submission as well.

Can any ane guide me, I have verified all steps in workflow simply no apply. it will be helpful if someone share the properties of steps.

BRF+ function for Validations

Hi Experts,

I am new to BRF+ Engine to define the validations and derivations. I have a requirement to do certain validatins for an entity type. I could create a CHECK function for this entity type with the naming convention equally CHECK_ENTITYTYPE. I could see in the BRF+ CHECK function, in that location is a provision to include only RULESETS. I have a requirement to do validations confronting certain information base of operations tables for the same entity types. I created information base of operations await up tables for this.

Please guide how to include data base of operations look ups and the formulas for the entity blazon in the Bank check office of that entity type.

ASSERTION_FAILED runtime error while creating a Fabric Create Alter request in MDG

Hi,

Nosotros are using MDG7.0 SP02  co-deployed on ECC.

While doing single material cosmos in NWBC, when we click on "Aggrandize All" button to meet all the tabs data and when we click particularly on "Descriptions" tab, then we get a runtime error "ASSERTION VIOLATED".

But when we expand other tabs like Found Data,Valuation data in NWBC, nosotros don't get any error while doing Fabric Cosmos . Also, when we submit the CR without providing the Clarification of the Material, we are not able to open the CR from approver's inbox to approve it and nosotros get the same mentioned error. I have checked the mentioned method and everything looks fine.Also, to resolve this , in that location is no OSS note past SAP too.

Has anyone run across this scenario. If yes, then please share that how did y'all resolve this dump in the organization.

MDG 7 : No approval required when specific fields are inverse

We are implementing an MDG hub 7.02 for BPs.

We take the common requirement by Business organization regarding lean subpoena : some fields in CR should trigger no WF when amended (i.e phone number).

What is the simplest strategy with BRF+ to have no approval when specific fields are changed?

MDG-S: - Enhancement BP data model with Custom entity and manage it in the UI

I have a requirement where i need to raise MDG BP data model with Custom Entity & display the attributes on the UI. And all the data of custom attributes should flow from staging tables to Custom R/3 tables upon approval.

Type of the Custom entity is "Changeable past change request".

I am following the document " SAP How-To Guide: Extend the MDG Business organization Partner – Node Extension (Reuse Option)" available here Configuration and Enhancement of SAP Chief Data Governance

I am stuck in the handler class which i have created.

1st Effect : is that this course is non getting triggered from the UI. So the values which we are providing in the fields are getting refreshed on the UI itself.

2nd Issue : how the data will flow from UI to staging tables & so to the custom table.

Please provide some solution if anyone of you had faced this type of scenario.

Input custom condition and pace types in ABAP workflows

I have copied a standard template (Other Workflows) which triggers a CR from NWBC, can we provide a custom status and stride types in Other workflows?

If yes, where do I exercise the modifications.

Every bit per my agreement these templates are hardcoded with Change request status and pace types.

How to go custom?

Mistake in SMT Mapping adding field in Bank Details - MDG Supplier

Hi,

I have this field BVTYP (Bank Partner Blazon) in table LFBK. I demand to add this field to Change Request screen - when I click on Create Bank Details

I added this field to the Attributes of entity BP_BKDTL in the data model BP. Executed Generate Data-Model Specific Structures, so the field BVTYP was added automatically to MDG_BS_BP_BP_BKDTL in the customer include correctly.

When I am trying to Extend the mappings in MDG_BS_BP_MAP_2STA and BP_BP_BKDTL_2API, It is non assuasive me to extend the mapping in construction BUS_EI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL proverb that field does non be in the same.

I tried to add this field BVTYP to this structure using append structure merely this BUS_EI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL is not enhanceable.

Until I have my field BVTYP in structure BUS_EI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL in DATA and DATAX, I cannot do the SMT mapping.

Can someone please help me every bit to how can I add my field BVTYP to this construction inorder to get the field on the screen. Or is there some other way to add this field to the screen?
